During the session with Mathias and Kristina last week I captured this photo. I think it’s describe their love for one another and also the upcoming changes in their life. I wish them all the best.

In the beginning of December I did a shoot for Interflora. The theme was Valentines day and it ended up very colorful. The talented florists were told to not use red roses, which is the most classical flower for love. When the stores buy the roses from the wholesalers the price for red roses are very high on Valentines day, and of course it’s also affecting the consumer price in the end. We focused on other flowers in this shoot and I hope it will inspire the readers of the magazine where it’s featured.

It’s the end of 2009. A magic year. A year that I will look back on and remember how I grew as a photographer and as person. I was having a really hard time to choose my personal wedding favorite photos from 2009, but here are some moments that are special to me.

There are so many more moments that I would like to put in my review, but then it would have been a never ending story. It’s important for me to show my personal wedding favorites. It displays the inner point of were my passion comes from. And without passion in this profession it’s impossible to keep going.
I will look back on this year and remember the small little details that made me a better wedding photographer. But also the big things such as my post processing. I have really found a tone and a mood in the post processing that I like and also improved my workflow. I want my photos to feel genuine and unique, because that’s the main part the client pay for, my time in front of the computer after the wedding editing all the photos.
This blog was also born in 2009. I have been blogging since 2007, but in this form it’s so much more easier and funnier to keep you posted.
When I started this blog in February I also started to use Twitter. Under the menu you will find the title “status”. I will try to have a new status each day in 2010. So even if you go to my blog and there is no new post, you can find a new status. If you are using Twitter you can also follow me.
Also something new for this year is my page on Facebook. You can follow my work, my thoughts, look at behind the scenes photos and get a reminder when I have post something new on the blog.
I will also specially remember when I held my guest lectures, my destination weddings abroad and the great atmosphere at my office.
My biggest thanks to all of my clients for letting me to be a part of their day. It’s a privilege and a huge responsibility to document a wedding day. They all have hired me for my knowledge, my experience, my passion and my artistic point of view. They have shared intimate moments of love, and they spread it in real life and on this blog.
Thank you all for the comments on the blog, the encourage, the joy and for making me feel for real.

It’s Christmas day and I’m laying on a bench in my parents kitchen on my favorite spot. My laptop is in my knee and I can feel the smell of cinnamon cookies and the Christmas tree next to me. I really enjoy my time here. I love to be around my family. To be able to long to my office and see things in perspective. When I’m here a find so much inspiration in the landscape and the nature. Nowadays I’m a big city girl even if I was born and raised on the countryside. I love both worlds.
I would like to wish you a very warm and loving Christmas with two photos that I took earlier today. One of my worlds.

In the latest issue of the Swedish wedding magazine “Bröllopsguiden” Katarina and Peter’s February wedding is featured. They had a beautiful winter wedding in Gävle 2008. They got married in Heliga trefaldighets kyrka and celebrated at Engeltofta herrgård.

A couple of months ago I posted a behind the scene photo from a shoot that I did with Jenny Hammar. This is some of my photos from Anna-Karin and Mikaels day October 24. Even if it was a gloomy weather the leafs made the colors really pop.

Helena married her Spanish husband in Hedvig Eleonora kyrka at Östermalm and celebrated at Högberga gård, Lidingö, in August. These two photos are from the inner courtyard at Högberga gård and I love the expression in Helena’s face. She was such a beautiful and elegant bride.

One of my returning clients is Interflora. I love to work with them, not only because I love to work with the talented creative director Anna Ceder, but also because it’s so much fun and my studio is full of beautiful props. Tomorrow it will be messy, hectic, but fun again when we shoot photos with a Valentine’s day theme.

About three weeks ago I photographed Petra and Olle. They were full of expectations for what life should bring when we met in Stockholm. When I look at this photo I feel completely warm inside. Not only because they are dear friends of mine, but also that we manage to do this shoot just the week before Petra gave birth to a boy.

Many months have past since I took a photo just for my own creativity. This is a photo without a buyer and it is a result of my first free weekend since April.

Jenny Hammar and I photographed a wedding together October 24 in Hagaparken surrounded by colorful leafs and a smell of autumn. Anna-Karin and Mikael married in Matteus kyrkan and celebrated at Stallmästaregården. They both were so kind and loving and easy to photograph. I also snapped some behind the scenes photos of Jenny when she was shooting. She is a colleague of mine and I could not wish for a more genuine and great person who inspires and helps me. We have a network together and since we started it last autumn she also have become a good friend of mine. Check out Jennys amazing photos at her blog.

The past weeks have been so much fun! I landed in Stockholm last friday for a short touch and go to Rockelstad slott for a cold rainy wedding yesterday. Now I’m back at my office trying to catch up a ton of work. The upcoming month will be really intense. My to do list seems to be a never ending story. I have so many photos to share with you and I will start with a sneak preview from yesterdays wedding. The rain was pouring down but I had a happy couple that didn’t complain at all and a brilliant assistant. Thanks to Marie and Thomas for agreeing to take some outdoors photos despite the weather.

I’m still in France working and I’m really enjoying my time here. Today I’m preparing for tomorrow’s British wedding at Chateau La Durantie. Next week I will travel around in the Dordogne area with a journalist to work with a reportage for a Swedish magazine about the walnuts trees that are very popular here. Please be patience if you have sent me an email or tried to phone me.

I have found the room of my dreams. It’s all in pastel color, old and empty. I woke up this morning in the room and when I looked through the window I saw a small, cute village enwrapped in fog. I could stay here forever. I’m France now for work and tomorrow I will shoot a Australian/American wedding.

The past weeks have really been intense. Not only because I’m in the wedding season period, but also because I was forced to move out from my office for a renovation. The wooden floor has been painted grey and I have bought new desks and the kitchen looks a lot better. I share this place at Odengatan in central Stockholm with one other photographer and two designers. It’s really fun to hang out with them and to get inspired. If you want to come over for a coffee sometime, feel free to send me an email.

You may have notice that I don’t write that much on this blog. But for today I will only share my words. No photos. Only thoughts.
Getting into wedding photography wasn’t a choice that I wanted in the beginning. But I knew when I was 16 years old that I wanted to become a photographer. When I at that time started to studied photography I wanted to work with journalism, but later on when I studied photography for the second time it became commercial and fashion, and today I’m focusing on weddings. I do a lot of other types of work, but I seems like what you have most passion for, it’s more likely for you to succeed. Today I’m truly happy for the things that shaped my life and the circumstanced that brought me here. The decision to get into wedding photography has changed my life.
Storytelling is all about a feeling.
Not perfection.
As for any artist - when I have creative freedom I also do the best job. That is why I don’t recommend any bridal couple to put a list in my hand with things they want me to photograph. I do know what type of things they expect me to shoot and if I didn’t capture a photo of the shoes in a specific angle, it’s no big deal. In the end it’s the full story that mean something. It’s very important that my clients to put their trust in me and I can tell that I feel that immediately if they do so or not. My artistic integrity is one thing that I put a big value on in my work.
It’s only a few shoot per year that I’m satisfied with. And I do belive that this is one of the things that pushes me forward. To be a better photographer. To never settle down and think I’m the best. I always want to become the best.
I very often get the question what type of clients I have and one thing they have in common is that they can see the difference. The difference between feelings. Many of them are into a creative business and everyone of them prioritize photos and understand the value of documenting life.
One thing that is my biggest challenge is to think different, to go my own way. To develop even more and follow my goal. If you follow my blog time will tell what that is.
Thank you for reading my blog and following my work and thoughts. All of you out there keeps me going. Every single comment means a lot to me.
