I have been shooting weddings, portraits and magazine work the entire summer. Since midsummer I have only had a few days off and now when the wedding season soon is about to end I will have some more time to get new inspiration for the weddings I have in October. The first thing I’m going to do is to visit my family, walk on the small roads, breathe fresh air, lay on my parents couch and show how much I love them. 

I have a lot of upcoming posts on the blog! Here’s a preview from my last wedding I shot September 4. Therese was really a stunning bride when she got married to Filip in central Stockholm.

August 7 was probably one of the days with most rain this summer. I crossed my fingers before I went to Zuzana and Tassos wedding in central Stockholm and hoping that we could shoot the portraits with our first plan. But soon I realized we had to go for plan B because the rain was pouring down. We took our escape inside the church and in a vault not far from Engelbrektskyrkan. After the ceremony Zuzana and Tassos celebrated with their family and friends at Nyckelvikens herrgård where they had arranged a beautiful table setting with a romantic-country-style theme.

Last weekend two of my best friends got married in Rosendals Trädgård. To both be the guest and the photographer was really challenging. But what really matters to me is to give Robert and Kajsa some special wedding photographs. In an early stage I knew the feeling I wanted to create for them. I did a setting in the forest with some old chairs and fabrics to the portrait session. More photos to come from their beautiful wedding.

Julia and Daneil lives in South Africa and sent in a beautiful story to the Facebook competition I arranged a few months ago. Their story was full of love and when I met them they were exactly what I was expecting them to be - bubbly, warm and so in love. We had a fun time together yesterday before the sun went down behind the treetops. More photos to come from their couple session.

The preparations was held at Vitemölla Badhotell, a very beautiful place just next to the sea.

When I saw this location for the first time I felt like I was in fairy land. Can’t tell how much I love this place.

The ceremony took place in Vitaby kyrka, just outside Kivik.

This cool priest with dreadlocks had only administer a few weddings before but she was one of the best priests I’ve ever listen to.

After the ceremony the bridal couple took a ride in an old car, a Packard from 1937, to a place by the water that means a lot to them.

The bridal toast took place in the exotic garden, arboretum.

A sweet moment during the mingle. I saw many of those tender moments during the day. There’s no doubt that they are in love. 

In an old turkey shelter at Esperöds herrgård they had arrange a beautiful table setting. 

The ring that Sophia got on her finger on the wedding day was the most beautiful ring that ever caught my eye. The ring was bought on an auction and was from 50’s. After remaking the ring by the jeweler at L’etui in Stockholm the result was incredible! 

Spending this day in Österlen was really a pleasure. I drove back to the boarding house where I stayed the night with the sun reflecting in my eyes and felt lucky. The happiness came from Henrik and Sophia. During the day they felt like friends of mine and I’m happy that I had the chance to photograph their wedding. Through out the whole day they were glistening and I wonder if I’ve ever seen a bridal couple glisten in the way they did. Their love for one another was unmistakable. 

Henrik and Sophia, thank you for putting your trust in me. Since that beautiful letter you sent me you will always have a special place in my heart.

July 24 was a rainy day and I photographed a Russian wedding outside Norrtälje. The day started in Tullinge with some preparations and ended up outside Grisslehamn in a place called Bergby gård. From Österåkers kyrka the bridal couple went in the most fancy limo I’ve ever seen to the portrait session. Despite bad weather I got 2 hours outdoors in the rain shooting. I wrapped my camera in a pillowcase and between the sessions I was hiding myself and the bridal couple under an umbrella.

One of the first emails I received from Sophia was a truly beautiful letter. I found myself reading it all over again and almost crying of it’s beauty and sincereness. From that moment I felt in love with Sophia and I’m thankful that I had the chance to photograph her and Henrik’s wedding in Skåne a couple of weeks ago. “It feels like you don’t just take pictures of the real world, you create a work of art, not by your hand, but through the lens of your camera. You are such an amazing photographer. You manage to catch different feelings and soft lightning in the most beautiful way. Your brides looks like a combination of elegant, modern, sophisticated models and fairytale princess of the middle ages. I wanted pictures in this emotional and spiritual feeling. You will have totally freedom, creative carte blanche, there isn’t a picture I’ve seen that I don’t like!”

From the bottom of my heart, thanks Sophia. I can describe what those words meant to me.

In the beginning of this week I did the final editing of another work I shot in north Italy a few months ago. This is a view not far from the Italian riviera. I want to go back to Italy and discover more of the country, but most of all want to continue to work with the amazing journalist I did the travel reportage with. Thank you so much Evelyn for the lovely person you are and for putting your trust in me. Can’t thank you enough for everything that you have done for me.

I just got back to my office after a wonderful evening shooting on the beach. I photographed Belsam in her Trash the dress session together with the assistant Linn. It was an amazing evening with a whole lot of fun! Now I’m charging my batteries and will try to get a few hours of sleep before going out in Stockholm’s archipelago tomorrow for some magazine work. About two weeks ago I met Michele and Johannes on a Friday evening to photograph their wedding portrait session. A few hours earlier they had a small, intimate wedding on their balcony suite at Grand hotel. After many years with a long distance relationship Michele recently moved to Sweden from America to spend some more time with her love. It was really a pleasure to photograph them. On this Friday evening it was no stress, just a fun time together with them in central Stockholm.
