Erika Gerdemark Photography - Blog - wedding photographer in Stockholm, Sweden, Europe - bröllopsfotograf Stockholm, Sverige bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

I am a photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden. This is a blog about my work, my thoughts, my art and my business.

I work mostly with weddings, it's my biggest passion. But I also do other types of portraits, still life and reportage.

I find my inspiration in fashion and in nature. The scenery seen from a train window on my way to my hometown, fashion magazines, and constantly view websites about weddings all over the world are some of the things that keep me going.

Live - create - explore

Mon séjour en France

I’m still in France working and I’m really enjoying my time here. Today I’m preparing for tomorrow’s British wedding at Chateau La Durantie. Next week I will travel around in the Dordogne area with a journalist to work with a reportage for a Swedish magazine about the walnuts trees that are very popular here. Please...

A bride worth waiting for

Helena was one hour late to the portrait session, but she was a bride worth waiting for. She was stunning and so relaxed even if she was late. I had plenty of time with the handsome groom instead. Sometimes I think it’s fascinating how life brought two people together. Helena and John met in Helena’s...

My second home turned grey

The past weeks have really been intense. Not only because I’m in the wedding season period, but also because I was forced to move out from my office for a renovation. The wooden floor has been painted grey and I have bought new desks and the kitchen looks a lot better. I share this place...

I can hold you

This is the love story of Gazal and Thomas.
Ever since Gazal contacted me for the first time for about 1,5 year ago I had looked forward to this wedding. I think it have been so much fun during the time to get feedback now and then from Gazal regarding my photos on this blog. I love to...

The decision that changed my life

You may have notice that I don’t write that much on this blog. But for today I will only share my words. No photos. Only thoughts.
Getting into wedding photography wasn’t a choice that I wanted in the beginning. But I knew when I was 16 years old that I wanted to become a photographer. When...

Several ways, but only one way to go

Gazal is not an ordinary bride. She can refer to some of the top wedding photographers in the world. I think the pressure on me was slightly higher than normal, but I also like pressure in a good way. More photos to come from this wedding.

In the tracks of the prince

Veronica and Erik had a beautiful wedding close to their home in central Stockholm August 22. I have photographed Veronica once before and I think it helped a bit during the portrait session at Waldemars udde at Djurgården. The ceremony was held in Oscarskyrkan. Veronica and Erik entered by boat to the reception at Villa...
