A wedding photographer’s dream in Bali

When I got the inquiry from Veronica and Steve last summer to photograph their wedding in Bali I was shooting some magazine work in Austria. I was staying near the turquoise lake Wörthersee. It turned out  that this color really connected me to Veronica and Steve’s wedding. The details, the vespa and the ocean were all in pastel. A few days ago I saw a turquoise old car for sale in a car magazine, a Fiat 1100 de luxe 1956, and I instantly thought of Veronica and sent her a photo of it. This is their pastel story from their beautiful day May 19th.

Photographing the wedding of two designers from Jakarta was really a dream. Not only the location was amazing, it meant a lot that Veronica and Steve are creative souls and trusted my ideas and visions. Both the ceremony and the reception took place at the luxury resort Pantai Lima. I had never before photographed in such a tropical heat so I drank a lot of water and even though my feet hurt at the end of the day (as they always do) I ended the shoot on the dance floor without the camera.
