In the last issue of the Swedish magazine Gods & Gårdar a story about Äleby gård is featured. I photographed it a year ago and the photos above are from the hunting in the evening. It was a new experience for me to be a part of a hunt. It was so much fun, much more than I expected it to be!

When I was asked by the Swedish photo magazine Kamera & Bild to be a judge in their photo competition I felt very honored. In fact I think it’s very hard to compete in photography so this will be very challenging. In the latest issue of the magazine on page 38 you can read a presentation about me and what type of photography I like the most and what type of photos you have to send in for winning this round in Grand Prix 2011. I’m partial to dreamy motifs, pastel colors, something coming in contact with the body, blurry photos, morning light, beds and fog.

In the latest issue of the Swedish magazine Gods & Gårdar a reportage about Johan Patricny and his home is featured. When the editor in chief contacted me and wanted me to photograph the reportage about Johan I got really excited. Johan Patricny is a very talented Swedish painter. When I met Johan in his home Villa Marenhill in the beginning of the summer he instantly made a strong impression on me. He is such a warm and genuine person living in a fairytale house, the most beautiful villa in Södertälje. It was an honor to meet him and I will remember this day with a big smile.

I just got home from a week in Switzerland and Austria shooting travel reportages for some Swedish magazines together with a journalist. Often when I’m photographing I love to go with a color theme. Depending on the location and the circumstances my eyes are searching for colors that could harmonize with each other. My favorite color from the week is turquoise, the color of some fairytale lakes in Austria.

Yesterday my photos from a travel reportage in Italy was featured in Svenska Dagbladet, one of Sweden’s biggest newspapers. Last year I went with the journalist Evelyn Pesikan to Italy and together we made a reportage about Seborga. A very small country (small as a village) in Italy that very few people know about. Last year I did a travel reportage for the Swedish travel magazine RES with the journalist Evelyn Pesikan. We were traveling in north Italy near the French border on the Italian riviera. We were eating a lot of great Italian food and was trying to find out why the French riviera is so much more popular than the Italian despite that in Italy they have much better coffee and nicer beaches. Yesterday I was in the forest shooting a reportage for a Swedish magazine. I went up 6 AM in the morning, driving 1,5 hour south of Stockholm to spend the day from dawn to dusk on the countryside breathing lots of fresh air. When I got home again I was thankful for having a job that I love. Very often it’s surreal.

One year goes very fast and it’s autumn again. Working with magazines often means that you photograph the work a very long time before it get published. One of my best memories from last year was when I did a travel reportage together with a journalist in France. We were traveling in the Dordogne area visiting walnut producers, eating great typical walnut food and got some amazing views over the French countryside. In the beginning of this week I did the final editing of another work I shot in north Italy a few months ago. This is a view not far from the Italian riviera. I want to go back to Italy and discover more of the country, but most of all want to continue to work with the amazing journalist I did the travel reportage with. Thank you so much Evelyn for the lovely person you are and for putting your trust in me. Can’t thank you enough for everything that you have done for me.

A travel reportage that I did with the journalist Evelyn Pesikan in May is now featured in the latest issue of the Swedish magazine Lantliv. We were traveling in north Italy in an area called Ligurien. The view was magnificent, the roads were very small and the food was delicious. I can really recommend to explore all those small, old villages near the French border and close to the Italian riviera.

What a journey we did!
